We are currently offering TTRS to any and all learners who are accessing our services. Learners who avail of the programme tend in the main to split their time between working on the computer using TTRS and also using more traditional methods in developing their reading, spelling and writing. We also provide a separate group for those using the TTRS programme, which exclusively for TTRS. This provides learners with the opportunity to further develop their literacy skills using TTRS.
Many of our learners find that the programme quite intensive and require regular breaks. I’m not sure if this is due to the fact that in the main we deal with adult learners with very little or no IT experience. Overall, the feedback from those who use the programme is overwhelmingly positive.

It fits in as part of the voluntary tutor training to be able up skill the learner in their computer skills as well as reading and spelling.
